Any class you disliked at launch but enjoy now?
At launch i tried a bit of every class and even though I played all the BWEs i didn't know the combat system very well. Now months after release I have tried all classes to at least 30+ and have a much better grasp of combat and combos and playing support.
Now is there any class you played at launch that didn't click but now you love it?
For me it's easily mesmer. I have found so far this is probably the most versatile, customizable, and enjoyable class of them all. The things I can do on my memser most of my alts would have no chance at all(at my skill level that is heh)...I have changed my overall playstyle every 10 or so levels since I started playing it and closing in on 60 I have about 8 differences builds I want to try once I open the last line of traits.
Also going the other way I really enjoyed warrior at launch but honestly find them the most boring class of them al nowl:P
My necro is getting more dull as I lvl. He got a big boost at lvl 30 and he has been spinning his wheels since (75 now). My warrior is 30and a wrecking ball with fun weapons and seemingly interesting build choices. My 80 ranger is fun and has a nice variety of build choices. I def think the necro and engineer need a big fun injection of all the classes Ive tried (havent tried guardian or mesmer).
When I first started the game I hated mesmer and levelled my elementalist to 80. Shortly after 80 I began to hate everything about elementalist and left the Guild Wars 2 gold game for a few weeks. After returning I though I would reroll a mesmer and see how it is, now I love the class and it has become my main. I tried to get back on my elementalist after a few months away and after a half hour hopped back to the mesmer.

Guild Wars 2 Day-to-day achievements adjust
I admit, as I get largely play sessions below my belt, the dailies are starting to feel like a chore. Maybe since the list is there at the corner of the display all the time. Potentially since the rewards are so enticing (as opposed to "mess of karma I'll finally use). Or it could be that often they come easy and quite often not, & I'll never know so I feel inclined to get them out of the way rather than wondering whether I'll need to log off before they're done.
Exactly how I'm playing the Guild Wars 2 gold game at the moment on the nights after work. The dailies are pretty critical to me and that's why I spend the modest bit of time I have getting them done first so at least I know they are all done and dusted before logging off.
You'd be slower should you stuck to doing dailies as your only technique for acquiring ascended gear & did not do them daily.
As for the 2nd statement, how particularly is your GW2 gold game negatively impacted when you don't need those meager further stats anyhow? At least... how outside of your own mind is your game negatively impacted?
OMG! I finally finished my first everyday!
I just had to grind the same DEs all over once more (oh Queensdale troll, your death brings me +1s), the location around the troll allowed me to get 13 unique kills & 20 gatherings, I was able to readily get the dodges on the veteran trees (love those foes and their insanely telegraphed attacks allow for SUPER logical dodges) after which I simply switched characters and revived a bunch of Scrap-BOTS.
Needless to say, I now need to park my characters in those locations & keep doing the precise same factor over & over and over again, but I guess that is the gameplay that GW2 rewards.

WoW Survivor realizes it will expense $30 to play on another server
2 things:
1) Server transfer in WoW are free, how does GW2 DARE to charge for them! Err wait... that does not compute... ;-)
2) Server transfer don't expense $30. ANet did something intelligent that Blizzard did not do. The cost vaies depending on the load of your target server. Should you try to go to an already rather high/full server, it will cost you more than in case you transfer to a lower population server.
Medium: 500
High: 1000
Incredibly High: 1800
Oh, and 1800 gems are not $30. It is precisely $22.5. Which implies it is much more affordable than transfers in WoW, which charge $25 PER CHARACTER, while GW2 transfers will do your all your characters at once... which means that for a base account with five characters, the price is $4.5 per character... quite affordable compared to WoW's $25 per character.
So... what are you complaining about, once more?

GW2 why the story implementation works(for me)
One of the items I dislike about MMO questing is how it on the whole tries to make you the hero inside the main game world, with everyone else doing the exact same save the world quests right along side you. GW2 I feel solves this by taking that aspect & making it optional & absolutely instanced & leaving the world quests to actually make sense in a way that everyone can do them & not have" you" as the center of it all.. Confident not everyone cares or notices this kind of factor but to me its immensely helpful with overall immersion. I personally don't delight in when" you are the one" is the center focus of a MMO in general...whats everybody else's feelings on this?
If I had a mine shaft, I don't think I would just abandon it. There is got to be a better way.
I like that they give you the option to decide on to do the story or not. Myself I like how each races and choice upto the Claw Island part let you kinda make your own path nevertheless even after Claw Island the story honestly does take you on a journey that tells a exceptional story with it. Most of all though the choice to follow the story after the start of you time in the world is what makes me like it you decide in case you need the story or just play the gw2 gold game.
And even without the story itself theres a ton of lore you study just by reading this or that in the game from gave stones to plaques to books even theres alot of story without.
Personally, I listened to the very first few pieces of dialogue and I skipped to the end on all the rest. It started out boring, so I did not bother with the rest of it.
I would like this if they had gone all the way with it. But after being declare the "Hero of...." hthen asked by a commoner to perform menial tasks....it just creates a disconnect.
Either have me be the hero or don't have me be the hero, but there has to be several type of agreement there.
I personally like being quite a few kind of Hero. It elevates the importance of the Guild Wars 2 gold game's adventure to me. If I am just going to play an average joe, then you want to make the story fascinating adequate that I do not feel like what I am doing is a chore I might just do in genuine life.
In the end, I am playing the game to play something I would fantasize playing.
Release a game with a really large established fanbase from 10+ years of bnet history when the industry was still emerging and the casual base had not yet been established, so ripe for harvesting a momentious self perpetuating playerbase people never leave because they have X hours invested in their characters, & their friends and everyone else plays anyway. Not discounting Blizzard quality... although WoW's success is as much about ideal timing as it is quality, if not more so. - Derros
